Birdlife of Elk Island National Park and the Blacfoot area.

This was a great day out seeing what Canada really has to offer in the great outdoors. There was an abundance of wildlife indicating a healthy local ecosystem.

All the shots below were taken over a five hour period on a single day on a guided trip by Wayne Millar of 'Birds and Back Country'.

A colony of Pelicans and Seagulls.

Photo taken from along way before the grass edge due to farm land restrictions in this case.

It wasn't the best day for wildlife photography as the light was low due to rain showers and clouds.

So have tried to add an artistic touch to this page.

A dive bomb attack can only be taken as a threat.

The wildlife is very abundant so their territories are going to cross over.

It is very nice to see birds provided with shelters in this area.
