Fraser Cartmell won the 2008 Ironman 70.3 UK in a race to the finish against fellow Brit Steven Bayliss. Aussie Luke Bell finished third 7 minutes back.

In the women's race, Bella Comerford made it another with a decent 5 minute gap to Julie Dibens who took the runner-up spot and age grouper Sara Sig Moeller snuck into third place.
